The September Joy Challenge for those who are over the nonsense of it all.

A Summer of Reckless Joy · with AJ, the Joy Weaver
The world is pushing the envelope in the most chaotic, confusing, what-on-earth-is-happening ways right now. So why aren't we pushing it in the direction of flower crowns and bold lipstick and wearing the thing and asking for what we need and dreaming so loud it makes people uncomfortable?
Somebody has to start the joy revolution.
I looked around and it's us. It's always been us.
Come be a revolutionary ✦
✦ ✦ ✦
Hot take: you deserve to feel like yourself every single day.
Not just on vacation. Not just when you've earned it. Not just in the sacred spaces where it's socially acceptable to be a little magic. Every. Day. And if someone somewhere along the way made you believe it was too much — we're dismantling that this summer.
Is this you?
You know there's more. You can taste it.
Maybe you left a religion and your spiritual life is wide open. Maybe your heart is breaking for the world and you're holding the both/and of "what the f*ck" and "oh my goodness" at the same time. Maybe you've spent years putting everyone else first — and you are finally, finally ready to make yourself the priority.
You've had a glimpse of something. A moment where you felt fully alive, fully yourself. And you want to find your way back — or go further than you've ever been.
You long to feel magic, alignment, and real joy — and you know something more is out there, even if you can't name it yet
You've been through something that changed you and you're in the middle of a soul journey, figuring out who you even are now
You are done with every day feeling like a gray old Tuesday and you are ready for something different
Your heart is breaking for the world and you need to remember what you're for, not just what you're against
You want to find what you love, what fuels you, what makes you look in the mirror and go — oh, there I am
You have spent years being the one who holds it all together — and you are finally, gloriously, making yourself a priority
You're secretly wondering: what is she on? And also — I kind of want that
"Nobody's coming to save us — which also means nobody's coming to stop us."
What this actually is
This isn't a joy challenge.
This is a revolution.
We are not here to put a sparkly bandage on things. We are revolutionizing the way you see yourself — intrinsically — so that you can access and embody joy, delight, and alignment with your whole self whenever you want. That's what this is actually about.
We are doing the belief work, the nervous system work, the vulnerability work. We are going after the stories that say you're not allowed joy, you haven't earned it, it's too much. And we are doing it together — because doing it alone is so much harder, it takes so much longer, and honestly? It is just not as fun.
You get the short version. You don't have to burn out like I did. That is an old ass story. It's stale. We're done with it.
What we're doing
We are going to lean into our edges
and expand in real time.
Find your joy edges
What makes you look in the mirror and go — oh, there you are? We find it, name it, and lean all the way in.
Rewire what's stuck
We go after the beliefs that say you're not allowed joy, you haven't earned it, you're too much. We replace them with evidence.
Push the envelope
In the direction of delight, whimsy, and aliveness. Because we can, and honestly it's about time somebody did.
Go further, together
You go further in community. You run harder when someone is running alongside you. That's why this is a group.
"You are not a supporting character in your own life. You are the whole damn main character — and it is time to start dressing like it."
— AJ, the Joy Weaver
What's included in every level
Here's how we're doing this.
Two months. June and July. Full out, no excuses. And also — this is not about doing it perfectly. Take what works, leave what doesn't. Go at the speed and rate you can. When you start getting nervous, bring it to the group. That's literally what we're here for.
6+ live group calls
Interactive teaching, Q&A, and yes — dance breaks. Bring your journal, your water, your candle. Replays up within 24 hours. Whenever you listen is perfect timing.
Private Facebook group
Recordings, homework, and community all live here. Post your ideas, your edgy questions, your victories. I respond within 48 hours. We root each other on. That's what we do.
WhatsApp group chat
Where I drop inspiration riffs, share what's bringing me joy, and toss out challenge ideas. Our vulnerable space. Ask questions, share your nervousness, ask to just be witnessed. 24-hour responses from me.
Prizes & challenges
Little giveaways throughout for the ones who are showing up, posting, encouraging others, pushing their edges. Not just the loudest — the ones doing the work.
Group chat kicks off May 10 — my birthday. Join before then and you're in from day one. ✦
A word
You have been shrinking.
Not all the way. But enough.
Enough that you know which version of yourself shows up in certain rooms — and which one stays in the car. Enough that there are things you want to wear, say, do, be — and you talk yourself out of it before you even try.
This summer we are done with that.
This is your formal, glitter-covered invitation to stop asking what the normal human would do. Because honestly? The normal human doesn't know what's up. You do. You've always known.
Come be that. Out loud. With witnesses. ✦
Investment
Choose your level of all in.
Up to a 12-month payment plan available for every tier. Same price. No shame. I love me a payment plan — and joy should be accessible.

Hi, I’m Aj, the Joy Weaver
An Intuitive Soul Coach, henna artist, and glitter enthusiast who believes joy isn't selfish - it's essential fuel for showing up in this wild world. I'm also a hot chocolate connoisseur, military spouse in Mississippi with two pups and way too many houseplants, and the author of Red Thread: Weaving an Embodied Life of Joy.
I created this challenge because I've been watching too many of us drop our joy like it's a luxury we can't afford. But here's the thing - when we deny ourselves the things that make us feel alive, we're actually sacrificing our capacity to show up for what matters most.
This isn't about toxic positivity or pretending everything's fine. This is about remembering that taking care of yourself, doing things that light you up, and choosing joy are acts of resistance. It's about asking "Fuck it, why not?" when that voice in your head says you're too old, too young, too much, or not enough.
Over the last 15 years of leading Red Tents, retreats, and workshops internationally, I've seen what happens when people give themselves permission to step into their full selves. The ripple effects are extraordinary.
So this September, we're doing the soul work together. We're identifying what stories are holding us back from joy, reconnecting with what we actually like (because so many people don't even know!), and rewriting the scripts that keep us small.
Whether you're someone who needs tangible tools (because "just breathe" makes you want to scream "HOW though?!") or you're ready to dive deep into the messy, beautiful work of choosing yourself - this challenge has space for you.
We're going full onion, my friends, because we’ve got layers. And I couldn't be more excited.
Ready to remember what makes life worth living?
Hands at your back, let’s sing our soul songs,
Aj
I’m a hot and ready fiesty joy potato. I’m in!

1. DIRECT QUOTE (short)
"Every day does not have to be a gray old Tuesday."
2. VIBE POST (short form)
The world is on fire. We know. We're choosing joy anyway. Not because everything is fine. Because this gets to be our life.
Absurdist delight. It's a whole thing. Come find out. 🌟
3. QUESTION / BULLETIN POST
When was the last time you looked in the mirror and thought — oh, there I am?
Not the version of you that's managing everything and holding everyone together. The version of you that actually feels like you.
That's what we're going after this summer. Drop a ✦ if you know exactly what I mean.
4. STORY-STYLE LONG FORM
A therapist once looked me dead in the eyes and said: "Some people, every day is a gray old Tuesday. And you should be grateful for that."
Y'all. I wanted to peel the skin off my body and exit the room.
Because I knew — even in the middle of some of the hardest years of my life — that there was more. I could taste it. It was on the tip of my tongue. And somebody was sitting across from me telling me to be grateful that every day felt like nothing.
That was the moment I knew I could never stay there.
If you've ever felt that — if you've ever known there's more even when you couldn't touch it — I made this summer for you.
Absurdist Delight: A Summer of Reckless Joy. Two months. June and July. Link in bio.
5. INVITATION (warm, direct)
Hey. If you're listening to the nudge that brought you here — trust it.
You don't have to have it all figured out. You don't have to believe this is fully possible yet. You just have to be a little bit like — yeah, maybe. Maybe this is for me.
That's enough. Come sit with us.
6. DIRECT QUOTE (longer)
"We are revolutionizing the way you see yourself — intrinsically — so that you can access and channel joy and delight and alignment with your whole self whenever you want. That's what this is actually about."
7. BULLETIN / REFLECTION QUESTION
What have you been wanting to do — wear, try, say, become — that you keep talking yourself out of?
Who told you that you couldn't have that? Who told you it was too much?
I'm asking because I've been asking myself the same thing. And this summer, we're finally doing the thing.
8. SHORT PUNCHY POST
Joy is not frivolous. Joy is not something you earn. Joy is not a reward for suffering enough first.
Joy is a practice. It's resistance. It's a revolution.
And we're building it together this summer. ✦
9. COMMUNITY FEEL / BEHIND THE SCENES
Real talk: I have been wanting to do a group program for almost a year now. I kept feeling it brewing and not letting myself do it.
And then I made a post about "absurdist delight" and my entire DMs lit up. People were like — I don't even know what that is but I WANT IT.
Yeah. Me too. That's when I knew it was time.
37 spots. Some are already claimed. Come run with me this summer.
10. QUESTION / BULLETIN POST
Do you ever feel like your insides and your outsides don't match?
Like there's a version of you that's more fully expressed — more alive, more you — and she's right there, just underneath the surface?
That's not a problem to fix. That's an invitation.
11. VIBE / MANIFESTO POST
We are not here for sad beige lives.
We are here for the glitter and the grief and the audacity to choose joy in the middle of all of it. We are here for the both/and. The "what the f*ck" AND the "oh my goodness." The broken heart that still makes space for delight.
We are here to be the people we were hoping would show up.
Turns out that's us. It's always been us.
12. INVITATION (playful, low pressure)
If you're even a little bit like — I don't know if this is for me but I can't stop thinking about it —
That's your nudge. That's the thing. Come find out.
You get to take what works and leave what doesn't. You get to go at your own pace. You get to be exactly where you are.
You just have to show up.
13. DIRECT QUOTE
"Nobody's coming to save us — which also means nobody's coming to stop us."
Read that again. Then come play with us this summer. ✦
14. LONG FORM — FOR THE ONES WHO'VE LOST THEIR JOY
Can I talk to the ones who used to feel so alive — and then something happened and the access just... closed?
Maybe it was burnout. Maybe it was a season of putting everyone else first until there was nothing left. Maybe it was grief, or a big transition, or leaving something that used to hold you — a religion, a relationship, a version of yourself — and now you're figuring out who you even are.
I've been there. I know what it's like to know what it feels like to be alive and then not be able to find your way back to it. It is one of the most disorienting things in the world.
But here's what I also know: joy is learnable. It's cultivatable. It's a practice. And it is so much easier to build it back when you're not doing it alone.
That's what this summer is. Come back to yourself — with a whole group of people doing the same thing right alongside you.
Absurdist Delight: A Summer of Reckless Joy. Two months. Link in bio.
15. SHORT PUNCHY POST
You don't have to be loud. You don't have to be as extra as me. (Though you're welcome to be.)
You just have to be ready to find your version of fully alive.
That's it. That's the whole thing.
16. QUESTION / BULLETIN POST
What would you do this summer if you knew nobody was actually watching as closely as you think they are?
(Because they're not. I promise you they're not. People are busy living their own lives. The thing you're terrified to do? Most people won't even clock it.)
What's the thing? Tell me in the comments.
17. SPIRITUAL / GROUNDED TONE
Here's something that changed everything for me:
What if the desires of your heart — the ones you keep pushing down because they feel like too much, too bold, too you — what if those were placed there on purpose?
What if joy wasn't something you had to earn? What if delight was actually the original design?
Your soul knows. It's been trying to tell you.
18. INVITATION WITH URGENCY
37 spots. Some are gone.
This isn't a scarcity tactic — it's just real. I want a group small enough that everybody gets seen. That everybody gets to grow. That we actually know each other by the end.
If you've been sitting on this, now's the time. Send me a message or grab your spot at the link in bio.
19. RIPPLE / IMPACT POST
Here's what I know about what happens in groups like this:
People leave jobs. People get jobs they actually want. People redo their wardrobes. People pick back up the thing they set down years ago. People stand taller. Walk differently. Ask for things they never would have asked for before.
Not because of me. Because of what happens when you're in a room — even a virtual one — with people who are building evidence that a different way of living is possible.
The ripples from this summer are going to be something. I can already feel it. And I want you in it.
20. CLOSING / SIGNATURE VIBE
This is what I know:
You can feel the thrum of something more. You've always been able to feel it. You're not broken for wanting it. You're not too much for chasing it.
You are someone whose soul runs high and whose heart is wide open and who has been waiting — maybe for a long time — for permission to just go for it.
Consider this your permission slip.
Absurdist Delight: A Summer of Reckless Joy. Two months. A whole group of people running alongside you.
Come. There's room. There's always room. ✦

Remember the gay clubbers in the 90s during the AIDS crisis? "We bury our friends during the day, we do our work, we dance at night so we have energy to keep going."
The dancing, the joy - it's vital to our vitality.
When I take time for joy, when someone calls with a problem, I have capacity to hold space. When I don't? It's like "Girl, I don't know, good luck, good night."
Joy gives us capacity to show up for what matters. And you’ve been putting on the list that everyone else matters but you…so it’s time to flip that script. We’re done just falling, we will be flying, or falling with style in Buzz Lightyear vibes.
Either way, you know there’s more. Let’s explore it.

Want to know more?
You know you want to. And you don’t have to be loud about it.
You don’t have to tell anyone (but you can) but this is a chance, in community to rewrite the scripts, dig in, put on our sparkle vests, and be like..ya’ll, we need more cowbell, more justice, more snacks, and more dancing, and by George, we’re gonna get it.
Let’s make some magic, my friend. Choose what level feels nourishing, and you can upgrade to a different tier later if you desire!
Ready to Say "F*ck It, Why Not?"
We are going full out in September, and I'm SO excited. It is okay to admit you want to be happy. You want joy. You want connection.
We live in a world where it feels almost “wrong” to lean into joy — like how dare we laugh, dance, or rest while everything is so heavy. But here’s the truth: joy isn’t frivolous. It’s fuel.
When you feel alive, resourced, and connected to wonder, you actually expand your capacity to show up — for yourself, for your people, for the world.
And if that's true, then what's our game plan for it? Not sure? (The answer is the F*ck it, Why Not, We Need It Joy Challenge, where we will literally MAKE your game plan for it).
P.S. - There will be prizes for people who participate and invite friends. Because why not make it even MORE fun?
PPS. Bring your maracas, red lipstick, and sparkles, (or whatever makes you happy to wear and shake) it’s gonna be fun!
